Well, whaddya know, those very nice people at HarperCollins have nominated The Reckoning for the CWA Historical Dagger Award..!

The award's for the best historical crime novel first published in the UK in English during the judging period - April 2017 to March 2018 - and set in any period up to 35 years prior to the year in which the award will be made.

Only a nomination, of course and there's tons of great authors that'll be added to the long list and yonks to go before the closing date - end of Feb, 2018 - but it's nice to know the book is regarded as a suitable candidate.

I mean, who'd've thought, eh?
